TO BE HONORED AT THE WHITE HOUSE AS EMPACT 100 LEADER

Young Entrepreneurs, Aged 30 and Under, Named to Empact100 List to be Honored at the White House

(November 15 , 2011) Boca Raton, FL - South Florida entrepreneur James Taylor, founder of Taylored Athletes, A Taylored Heart Foundation and Pro At Your Door, will be recognized at the White House on November 17th along with other young entrepreneurs under the age of 30 as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Taylor has been named to the Empact 100 List, which recognizes the top 100 entrepreneurs under 30 who impact our economy, give back to the community and inspire others to join the movement to revitalize our economy by starting a business of their own.

This year marks the 2nd year the White House is recognizing Global Entrepreneurship Week. President Barack Obama signed the presidential proclamation declaring November as National Entrepreneurship Month in 2010. The recognition event is held in partnerships with Startup America, The Kaufman Foundation, The Future of Entrepreneurship Education, Entrepreneurship International, and the White House. A live broadcast can be viewed at http://www.whitehouse.gov/live between 2:30pm and 5:00pm EST on Thursday, November 17. Taylor and other Empact 100 honorees from across the country  will take part in a recognition event with senior administration officials.

A former professional basketball player and recent college hall of fame inductee at Lynn University, Taylor is committed to helping kids live healthier lives. Founded on the fundamental principles of integrity, quality training, faith in God, sportsmanship and learning life lessons through sports, Taylored Athletes has trained more than 5,000 athletes to date and is well known for its One On One Pro At Your Door Basketball Training Concierge Service, Next Level Basketball Camps, and Leadership and Character Building After-School Programs which provide positive role models for at risk youth and teaches them self discovery sports.Taylor also founded “A Taylored Heart” Foundation to help at risk children achieve academic success with after school reading and math tutoring services. 

In addition to his basketball training endeavors, Nike hired Taylor as a Jordan Brand technical director for a commercial with Miami Heat stars Dwayne Wade and LeBron James. Shown thousands of times on television and on the internet, Taylor’s skills as a consultant have been in demand as a result of the national exposure.

Both the success of Taylored Athletes, Inc., and the Empact100 list are testament to the impact young entrepreneurs have on the American economy.
